BOYS' PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Hendrix goes for 26 and 16 as Trojans roll (12/23)

Junior post Adam Hendrix scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the North Hardin Trojans to an 82-50 win over Deming on Wednesday in the Whitaker Bank/Fort Harrod Holiday Classic at Mercer County.

Sophomore guard Jordan Brangers hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, while senior forward Chris Sterusky scored 15.

Senior guard Trevino Coney chipped in with 10 points.

ELIZABETHTOWN 63, BARDSTOWN BETHLEHEM 38. Junior forward Janzen Flood scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Panthers (6-4) to the title of the Coit/Subway Classic at Bethlehem.

Flood, who was named to the All-Tournament team along with senior forwards Mitchell Henry and Chris McDonald, also had six rebounds and one assist. Henry chipped in with 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal, while senior guard Terry Jones had eight points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Elizabethtown, which has won four in a row, shot 60 percent from the field (24-of-40).

LARUE COUNTY 53, CARROLL COUNTY 36. Junior guard Kyle Sheeran hit 6-of-12 3-pointers as the Hawks (5-3) took third place in the North American Stainless Classic at Carroll County.

Sheeran led LaRue County with 22 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals, while sophomore guard Kelton Ford added 13 points, four assists, two steals and one rebound.

Senior forward Chase Reynolds chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
